The principals of Desert Growth Investments community focus is on supporting causes that improve the health, living conditions and education of others. We also provide logistics support and administrative coordination for groups volunteering for short humanitarian assistance trips to Mexico, Rwanda and other needy areas. Below are examples of the organizations to which we commit personal time as well as money to furthering their causes.
 
OPERATION MOBILIZATION SHIPS INTERNATIONAL www.omships.org
In June 2008, we were onboard the Logos II in Barbados with the ship’s international crew and staff of volunteers. OM’s goal is to bring knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world. They do this by supplying books and vital literature resources, encouraging cross-cultural understanding, training young people for more effective life and service, providing needed relief, and sharing a message of hope in God wherever there is the opportunity.
 
ESTRELLAS PARA NINOS www.estrellasparaninos.org
In Feb and June 2007, we coordinated group trips into Juarez, Mexico, to assist four orphanages with building repairs and remodeling, electrical work and weed control, as well as participating in the children’s sports and coordinating fun outings for these abused and forgotten kids. We brought in van loads of food and supplies, and established and funded regular local food deliveries for orphanages which were subsisting on meager portions of rice and beans.
 
WOMEN OF WORTH www.womenofworthorg.org
We provide ongoing support for an organization formed to assist families in crisis, especially those escaping domestic violence or sexual assault. Their mission is to increase self-reliance, and improve the quality of life for individuals and families by assisting them in rebuilding their lives.

CHRYSALIS SHELTER www.chrysalis-shelter.org – A Phoenix homeless shelter for victims of domestic violence.

DONOR NETWORK OF ARIZONA www.dnaz.org - a federally designated, not-for-profit, organ procurement organization for the state of Arizona.
NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION www.kidney.org - seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.
COVENANT HOUSE www.covenanthouse.org -  Covenant House International is the largest privately-funded agency in the Americas providing shelter and other services to homeless, runaway and throwaway youth.
1% OF THE PLANET  www.onepercentfortheplanet.org -- Since 2002, 1% For The Planet has inspired members of the business community to contribute 1% of sales to environmental groups around the world. In return, this growing alliance of companies is given the opportunity not only to see their self-worth rise, but their net worth climb as well.
SPECIAL OPERATIONS WARRIOR FOUNDATION www.specialops.org --  For more than 28 years, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation has provided full college scholarship grants, not loans, along with financial aid and educational counseling to surviving children of Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who were killed in an operational mission or training accident.
